Clean/Renewable Energy
- Solar panels at training ground: two separate rooftop solar installs for the football club at its Lotus Training Centre
- Looking into viability options to install additional solar PV at the stadium
Energy Efficiency
- Most of the emergency lighting with LED throughout the stadium
- A vast majority of the lighting is either LED or HF florescent lighting and most concourse areas have occupancy sensors to stop lights being left on
Sustainable Transport
- Public transport options to get to stadium
- The stadium is next to Norwich train station and the main Norwich bus station is a 10 min walk from the stadium
Single Use Plastic Reduction/Removal
- Trialling cutlery made from wood rather than plastic and replacing single use coffee cups with 100% free plastic cups at our training ground
- Currently looking into the what options are available for the stadium kiosks are on the market
Waste Management
- Waste provider separates waste at a centralised point
- Separate bins around the Stadium during events wasn’t seen as a viable option due to security and potential for the wrong bins being used
Water Use
- At Carrow Road, pitch is watered via a bore hole and the training ground recycles the water from the pitches which is pumped into a sizeable tank and is then sprayed onto the pitch
- In times of low rainfall, there is another bore hole where water is taken
Plant based/low carbon food
- Currently looking into local providers to enable access to locally grown produce and to provide gluten free and vegan options
Communication/Engagement
