Sustainable Transport

Single Use Plastic Reduction/Removal

Waste Management
- 0% go to the landfill.
- More than 90% of the waste is recycled, the residual waste is converted into electricity via a waste heat and power plant, which in turn is used to flush their reusable cups

Water Use
- All urinals in public areas are centrally controlled and flushed to save water while adhering to strict hygiene guidelines. Taps are contactless and all the seated toilets are equipped with water-saving flushing devices.
Plant based/low carbon food

Communication/Engagement
- FC Bayern had and has a sustainability policy. Since mid-2020, it has been realigned for the coming decade under the motto “Ahead”. The project is led by the future CEO Oliver Kahn.

- FC Bayern Munich has been a member of the Climate Alliance of the Bavarian Free State since 2015. The Climate Alliance is a broad social network for more climate change action in Bavaria. The partners have set themselves the goal of raising awareness of the issue of climate protection, using joint campaigns to raise understanding for the sustainable use of scarce resources and promoting climate-friendly behaviour. The partners of the Climate Alliance support the Bavarian state government’s goal of reducing annual greenhouse gas emissions to below 2 tonnes per Bavarian citizen by 2050.
