Sustainable Transport
- The club’s ‘Travelling To Sixfields By Public Transport’ page of the website includes links which supporters can use to travel to the stadium by bus and rail.

- As part of Green Football Weekend and the club’s Sustainability Day, the club offered half price parking for those with three or more people in their car. This has been repeated at other games during the season.
Single Use Plastic Reduction/Removal
- The club uses reusable cups. Supporters pay £1 deposit for the cup which can be claimed back on return of the cup, or the £1 can be donated to support the work of the Northampton Town Community Trust. Bins are located around the stadium for the cups to be deposited in to make a donation.
- Each of the club’s home, away and anniversary shirts for the 2022/23 season are made from hummel’s Eco8 material, a high-tech polyester made from up to 8 recycled plastic bottles.

- Launched a ‘Protect the Planet Programme’ at Redwell Primary School as part of the Club’s Premier League Primary Stars Programme.
Communication and Engagement
- Participated in Green Football Weekend for the club’s home fixture vs Walsall. Initiatives included; events outside of the stadium, vegan and gluten free food options available from the kiosks and the club’s recyclable cups scheme in operation.
- Held a Sustainability Day in October 2022 for its home fixture vs Newport County. Players warmed up in Planet League t-shirts, there was a pre-match video and announcements via the PA system and the club also welcomed Stanwick Primary School pitch side as the winning school from a previous Planet League competition.
- Northampton Town Community Trust won the ‘Club Impact Award’ by participating in Planet League’s competition and making the most environmental impact out of all the teams involved. The award meant an area of the Amazon rainforest equating to 1,000 football pitches is protected and will now be protected under the Northampton Town FC Community Trust name thanks to Rainforest UK. The Trust saved a total of 8.236kg of CO2, the equivalent of planting 471 trees. Almost 3,000 activities were completed, and 4,606 climate action goals were scored.
- The club actively encouraged pupils, teachers and families to score Climate Action Goals for the Northampton Town Community Trust in Planet League’s ‘Planet League Cup’ competition.
