Kashima Antlers: First ever “Sustainability Match” to be held against Kashiwa on February 21st!
We are pleased to announce that we will be holding a “Sustainability Match – The Same Dream Forever” at the Meiji Yasuda J1 Centennial League Regional League Round EAST Round 3 match against Kashiwa Reysol on Saturday, February 21st.
“The same dream forever” – this match title embodies the strong determination to continue dreaming of the same dream together with all the team members associated with the club, carrying on the “Football Dream” slogan that has remained unchanged since the club’s founding into the future.
As times change and the environment, football, and the local community undergo major changes, it is essential for Kashima Antlers to maintain the foundations for the club’s sustainability – protecting the environment, growing together with the local community, and passing on values to the next generation. This attitude has been defined as the club’s sustainability policy, “Always the Same Dream – With Antlers, For Sustainability,” and for the first time, the club will be holding a “Sustainability Match – Always the Same Dream.”
Antlers has a strong desire to “protect an environment in which future generations can enjoy football with peace of mind.” With the same passion for victory on the pitch, we are serious about the future of the Earth, people, and communities, and we hope to build a sustainable society together with our supporters.
Furthermore, the J.League is the first Asian league to participate in the “Sport Positive Leagues,” an initiative that evaluates climate change countermeasures in the sports world, and we aim to reach the pinnacle of global standards. Just as we constantly pursue victories and titles on the pitch, we will also work diligently toward efforts toward a sustainable future, accelerating concrete action together with our supporters.
